MUMBAI: Kavita Kaushik is one of the most popular actresses on the small screens.
The diva has been a part of the television industry for a very long time now.
Kavita has delivered some smashing performances in all her shows so far.
The actress is known for her role in F.I.R. where she was seen as Chandramukhi Chautala.
While the show went off-air a few years ago, fans still remember Kavita for this character.
Kavita had recently made an entry in Sony SAB's show Maddam Sir and she graced the show for a few episodes but managed to win everyone's heart with her presence.
The cop-comedy drama is winning the hearts of the viewers and Kavita's presence had just added more fun to the show.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Kavita who spoke about her dream role, the success of F.I.R and much more.
F.I.R was one of a kind and so is Maddam Sir, why are women-centric cop comedies so popular according to you?
Comedy will always be the need of the hour. A good comedy will always work. Investigating series has a lot of scope for comedy of errors and one can explore various dimensions in it including a palate of emotions. Also, stories change with each case hence there is a lot to play around with!
A role you are eagerly waiting to portray on-screen, just waiting for the right opportunity to come your way?
I would love to portray a double role. A good cop versus her deadly evil Twin villain! This is something that will really excite me.
One thing about Chandramukhi Chautala that is similar to you?
There are many things similar between me and Chandramukhi Chautala. The physical strength and the fact that most people don't know what both really feel and don't understand their words.
