Shakuntala to go off air in July

Star One’s mythological love story of Shakuntala and Dushyant has failed to capture the audience’s attention and the eternal love story will go off air on July 3rd. A source from the sets informed, “Unfortunately the show is going off air mid-way. We have worked very hard but it seems that people didn’t like the show, hence the show is going off air in July.” Further he added, “First it was low TRP ratings and then temper tantrums by some of the actors on the sets are the major reasons that lead to show going off air.”

Though we had a contract of one year the channel decided to end the show before its time, so we can’t do anything.” When asked whether the show will have a logical end, he said, “In the end we will reunite as the ring will remind me of Shakuntala and then we will live happily ever after.” Producer Meenakshi Sagar confirmed the news, “Yes the show is going off air on July 3rd and I can’t speak more on that.” Now we can say there is nothing eternal about eternal love stories as well.
