Undoubtedly, for all the Ranbir Kapoor fans, watching the actor after four years is a treat. It was revealed in the trailer that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of father and son, Shamsheera and Balli, respectively. The concept of the father and son played by the same actor and the son taking revenge was witnessed in the movie Bahubali. Also, the location where the major portion of the film Shamshera was shot reminded us of the movie KGF; also, the workers were treated the same way in both movies.

Apart from the movie Bahubali and KGF, Vaani Kapoor's character was very similar to the character of Katrina Kaif in Thugs of Hindostan.
