I am grateful to Telly Awards for recognizing real talent: Anas Rashid, winner of Best Actor in a Lead Role at the Tellys

The taste of success is sweet and ask Anas Rashid, he will tell you more about it. Yes, the tall and handsome actor, who has been around for quite some time in the TV industry finally got his due on winning the Best Actor in a Lead Role Award at the recently held Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. He bagged the honour for his spirited portrayal of Suraj in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd). “I am overwhelmed. I want to thank Anil Wanvari (Founder of Telly Awards), Star Plus and the entire cast and crew of Diya Aur Baati Hum. I want to thank my fans for supporting me.” However, he shared the honour with Kunal Karan Kapoor (Colors’ Na Bole Season 2). His take on it? Says Anas, “I think he is a brilliant actor and I am grateful to Telly Awards for actually recognizing real talent. This reflects its credibility.” Before signing off, he said, “Not only I but my show Diya Aur Baati have also won many awards. So overall I am very happy.
