EXCLUSIVE! Hotstar's Dahan actress Priyanka Zemse talks about her experience on set; says Saurabh Shukla was like a father figure to me

MUMBAI : Priyanka Zemse is an actress, a video jockey, and a trained Bollywood, classical, and bachata dancer based in Mumbai. She won the pageant, Miss Raigad Maharashtra, in 2018 and has been a go-to model for editorial shoots.

Her latest work includes Hotstar’s Dahan starring Saurabh Shukla, Tisca Chopra, Rajesh Tailang, and Ankur Nayyar.

In a career of 2 years, Priyanka has worked on more than 40 projects in different languages, including English, Hindi, and Marathi. Some of her notable works as a VJ include 'Ek VJ Ke Liye’.

As an actor, she has featured in many serials, web series, and commercials. However, she rose to fame after featuring in a dance number titled 'Rasgullabai' from 'Amhi Befikar' and the web series 'Bang Bang'.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actress recently and got to know some interesting insights.

You were a part of multiple shows with Balaji. What was that like?

“I had a great time with Balaji. I think they spoiled me. When I get offers these days, I start to think if it will be like what it was on the set of Balaji. The whole culture that they follow and the way they treat their artists are amazing. They make sure everything is there. This is the great quality of Ekta ma’am. She understands you.”

How was your experience in Dahan?

“It was very different. On the set, it was a different vibe. I believe in the method. The set was so well made that it helped me get into character more. Everybody was so positive and coordinated. I rarely see this on sets. The direction team and the production house were amazing to work with.”

What was it like working with such amazing talents like Saurabh Shukla?

“With Saurabh sir being there, he also explained to me how we can do the scene in a particular way. He shared the dos and don’ts. He was like a father figure explaining everything to me. Apart from this, everybody was supportive and open to his opinions on what more could be done. He helped me a lot, and when he got into the character I did not even feel like Saurabh Shukla. It was great working with him.”

The series is out on Disey+ Hotstar and has been receiving a lot of attraction and love.
