MUMBAI: Shahrukh Khan has a massive fan following the world over and his fans can’t keep calm as he will be seen on the big screens after nearly 4 years in not one but three films. First up will be Pathaan in January 2023, the teaser of which has already impressed fans a lot. While the film’s shoot has been wrapped up, SRK and team are now working on his next film Jawan by South filmmaker Atlee.
Now the Atlee directorial is under fire for plagiarism charges on it by Tamil producer Manikam Narayanan. The latter has said that the film’s plot is similar to the 2006 Tamil film Vijayakanth starrer Perarasu. He filed the case with Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC).
Khan will be seen in a double role in Jawan just like Vijayakanth in Perarasu. One of the characters of SRK however is an army officer, which is different from the Tamil film. TFPC will be investigating the complaint soon.
South filmmaker Atlee has previously been accused of plagiarism several times in the past too. His films that have faced the charges include Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil with Mouna Ragam, Chathriyan, Aboorva Sagotharagal and Chak De India.
Atlee’s collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay has been a great success. Meanwhile Jawan is a PAN India film and its first look is already out and loved by his fans.
SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the pipeline.
