MUMBAI: The teaser of Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Bholaa was released today. There have been reports that the makers are planning to create a universe and for the sequel of Bholaa, Salman Khan has been approached. However, the makers of Bholaa have now issued a statement to clarify it. 

The statement from the film’s team read, “There are news reports doing the rounds in the media about Ajay Devgn approaching Salman Khan for Bholaa sequel. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn share a great rapport & friendship, however, Ajay has not approached him for the sequel of Bholaa. Currently, Ajay Sir is busy with the post-production of his directorial Bholaa.”

Bholaa is directed by Ajay, and it is a remake of Karthi starrer Kaithi. The teaser has grabbed everyone’s attention, and the movie will be released in 3D on 30th March 2023.

Meanwhile, currently, Ajay is enjoying the super success of Drishyam 2 which in three days has collected Rs. 76.01 crores at the box office. Remakes off late were not doing well at the box office, but Drishyam 2 has surely broken the jinx. The movie will cross Rs. 100 crore club in its first week, and if it continues to do well at the box office in its second week, the movie might reach the Rs. 200 crore club as well. 

Ajay has two films lined up, Bholaa and Maidaan. While the former is slated to release in March 2023, the latter will hit the big screens in Feb next year.
