Rajveer Singh, who plays the role of Arjun in the show is quite a popular actor and he is known for his roles in Ishq Kills, Kya Kasoor Hai Amala Ka?, Qurbaan Hua, Sufiyana Pyaar Mera and has been portraying the male lead role in Rajjo on Star Plus.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about his first impression of Celesti.

What was your first impression of Celesti?

We were looking for a girl who was an absolute new face and when we were screen testing, Celesti came to the set. I did not know that she was from Assam and she was talking to everyone in English. I thought she was not from India, and I became very worried about how we would do the dialogues. But then, she started talking in Hindi and I was surprised. All my misconceptions were gone and she is very good at her job, which is great.

What is that one thing that fans will witness about Celesti in real life that they have not witnessed in the show in your characters?

Primary emotions are something that comes to my mind first, some people are extremely emotional or loving or extremely angry. I think anger as the first emotion is not the case with me or Celesti. One thing about Celesti is that she misses her home in Assam a lot and this is the first time she has been away from her home. So, she sometimes cribs about things when she gets homesick but she is very chill in real life.

How easy or difficult is it to choose a character, especially when it is so easy to get stereotyped in the industry?

If I were to answer diplomatically, I don’t think there was a character made as such and I am not against TV at all, but why do all the TV serials look the same? Why do the heroes look the same; the same beard, same look and same clothes. My looks in my last shows were almost the same and because we work in this field, we can’t crib about this but there are nuances that stay back. Sometimes, you repeat the same thing, but I have never really thought of or sat down thinking about how to create a certain character.
