Taare Zameen Par was released many years ago, but people still remember you as Ishaan. How does it feel?
It feels damn good, I love it. I love the thought that people have related to a film to such an extent that it’s not leaving their heads. It’s to an extent that people think that I am Ishaan, and I have issues with reading and writing. I am happy that people have connected to that aspect and that it’s almost real life. So, that’s nice, and I don’t mind that for the rest of my life people remember me for that character.

Darsheel reveals his goal as an actor…
My personal goal is to keep doing films that are like these and people remember me for it. Even when my second film Bumm Bumm Bole had come out, people told me that you were very sweet as an elder brother which is something we have not seen before. I was happy about it as well. Even whatever else I have done after that and what I intend to do in the future for example ‘Capital A Small a’ is for people who have these tiny insecurities, these are almost like run-of-the-mill problems. So, my goal is to be associated with projects and stories like these.
Tell us something about your upcoming projects…
A lot of things are lined up. There are films, and theatre, and I am working very hard on them.
