TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about the show Sanjog wrapping up, OTT and more.

You had been working for a long time, how has the sudden stop to Sanjog, made you feel and how have you been spending time after that?

We had a lot of fun while shooting Sanjog, and touchwood I was putting in my best foot forward, and things were going great, and we were a good responses from the fans on our personal pages and on the official page of Sanjog, this sudden stop to the show is a definite blow to the heart, it did affect me but as an actor, these things are not in my hands at all and it is completely in the hands of the channel and the people above. I am not in a chill zone now, I had only gotten to know a week before the show wrapped up, so I took out time to meet the people and other prospective projects, and touch wood it’s all packed now.

What are the upcoming projects that you can tell the fans about?

In the pipeline, I have already shot for ‘Inspector Avinash’ starring Randeep Hooda, that’s a complete web series shot for Jio. Randeep plays the role of Inspector Avinash, Urvashi is there, I play the role of Inspector Ahlawat and there are more people like Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Freddy and Shalin Bhanot who is currently in Bigg Boss, so quite an interesting good cast and you will get to see alot of good entertainment, some masala in it, It is based on true events.Ahlawat is an educated cop, from Haryana, he is a very by the book kind of a cop and thats what I can tell you about that role. There is an OTT film that I am part of called Bal Naren, it is an very interesting small film but with a very big heart. Deepak Mukut Sir has produced it, Pawan Nagpal is the director, The cast has me, Bidita Bag, Govind Namdeo Sir, Vindu Dara Singh and Yagya Basin is the kid who plays Naren, It is a movie that talks bout Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan. And then I am doing a movie called ‘Bagawat’, I p
lay a Dalit in that movie and the movie was a 9 month process and I speak Awdhi in it and the character took me two months to get out of because it was so complex, so these are the projects that I am looking forward to.

You are somebody who has worked in films, Television and OTT, which process is exciting to you and which one do you enjoy the most?

As an actor in OTT and in movies, you get a bound script there’s a start, there’s a finish, there’s a body whereas, in Television shows, there is no concrete body, there is an everchnging body that changes every day or every week, which initially comes as a shock but I think it is very interesting because for an actor, it really sharpens you, because you might get 10 pages and you will have to do them that quickly and in the beginning I used to think it was sudden and because I have habit of reading things prior to the shoot, so I used to ask them to give me the scenes in prior, thankfully I don’t have a memory issue but when you have the script beforehand you can think about it and work on it because once you read in the night, I get ideas that I used in the morning. And with TV that time you don’t get, which is good because it makes you spontaneous , So I think it is very good learning for an actor to do TV also, but I do love all the mediums but I would still go in for a bound scrip
t because you can shape up your character whereas in Televison, it shapes up with time.

Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for more updates!
