What’s the most interesting or silly buzz/rumour about you?

I won’t say interesting but recently I found something silly when I googled Imlie’s star cast. It had mentioned my name and the per day pay was such an amount that I only wished it was true.

What’s the funniest thing you did on the name of ‘Script ki demand’?

I feel sorry about this but on ‘script ki demand’ I once slapped a co-actor. It was written in the script and one night before when I got the script, I just prayed to God that I don’t want to lose the chance He has given me.

What’s something you do and your parents always scold you for it?

It’s not just parents but my sisters and brothers too in this matter. All my family members say that I’m very bad at money management. They tell me that I shouldn’t keep my money with myself and give it to them as they can take better care of it. They say that money doesn’t stay in my hands. Every single family member agree to this.

Who’s your secret crush from the television industry?

If I tell you it won’t be a secret. I love Siddharth Shukla. Unfortunately, he is no more. I came a little late on television but I started working 25 years ago with movies. I used to dance and work as an assistant choreographer. I had a major crush on Sanjay Dutt. I developed a crush when he did the film Amaanat. The film’s shooting was happening right opposite to my school. I was in 6-7th grade and just after leaving from school, we would see security putting barricades around the spot. We knew about it since it was our area. So, we used to climb a wall. Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt were there and it was the first time I had witnessed shooting. I was so mesmerised by it that I couldn’t sleep at night. I used to dream about Sanjay Dutt. Later, when I got to shoot with him, I told my colleagues about it. One of the colleagues went and informed Sanay Dutt about it and later I felt so shy when Sanjay sir gave me look.

A hairstyle during your childhood that was forced upon you?

Two ponytails and mandatory oil in hair. It was very irritating. The side parting still doesn’t go. I hate that one thing.

Which is the funniest memory from your college days?

My friend and I, we still recollect this incident. It was about my best friend’s friend. He had approached my friend, saying that he likes me and wants to take me on a date. I was very shy at that time. However, my friend was very extrovert in that mater. She told me that he is asking for a day out. She took me with her. We fixed a time and place to meet. I went to her house and got ready. was roaming in slippers. We were just about to leave and I realized that I’m wearing slippers so we went back to the house. We had actually left the door keys inside and so, the door wasn’t opening. The guy kept calling and my friend told him that I’m wearing slippers and hence, I am not coming. The guy could not believe the reason.

How was it the first time you saw yourself on a hoarding?

Sometimes, I see it during promos. Digital hoardings I saw of Kashibai Bhallad. The show and that character is very dear to my heart.

What’s a childhood memory that always made you emotional?

I am the eldest in the house and I started working at a very young age. My brother is the youngest. We three sisters have a strong attachment towards my brother, especially me. I feel it’s my duty towards him as if he was born only for me. I used to carry him around everywhere. Even when I used to play, he was with me. As he grew up, he got more interested in cricket. Once, he told me that he wants to play cricket. So, that gave me the feeling of being a father and I started working hard to get that cricket kit for him. At that time, I used to do a lot of dancing and singing shows, so I saved money from those shows and bought a 2,500 rupees cricket kit for him. When I gifted it to him, he was so happy. Unfortunately, he could not become a cricketer.

Share some mischief where either you played a prank or you were pranked by someone?

The girl who was playing Kashibai used to play a lot of pranks. She knew that I am scared of snakes, so she used to drop a rope on me in a sudden way and I used to get scared. Since we were shooting in Karjat where it was a little easy to find snakes, I was always very alert about it.
