MUMBAI :Riya Kumari, a 32 year old YouTuber hailing from Jharkhan, was on a Ranchi-Kolkatta road trip with her husband and 3 year old daughter on wednesday morning when tragedy struck the family of 3.

Assailants tried to rob them, when they stopped on the side of the road for a few minutes. Riya, who was feeding her 3 year old daughter, got out of the car and tried to stop the culprits who were in the process of robbing her husband at gunpoint. She was then shot dead by a single gunshot wound to her temple.
Riya, who used a social media avatar Isha Alya, was then rushed to a state-run hospital in Uluberia by her husband Prakash, without waiting for the cops to arrive. Sadly, she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Prakash who was the lone witness to the crime said, “My wife was in the car feeding our child. I felt someone snatch my wallet and turned around to see a gun pointed at my face. Riya stepped out of the car and tried to accost them. She even pushed the person holding the gun, at which he shot her. She yelped and fell. I stood stunned while the assailants fled”
Prakash reportedly walked to a factory asking for a local police station’s number then returned and put his bleeding wife in the back seat and drove to the hospital.

Prakash then drove helplessly for 3 hours screaming for help, before finding some people near a tea stall in Kulgachia, 8KM from where his wife was shot. Those people helped him contact police and find a hospital by which time his wife was already dead.
