Rashmika Mandanna's statement on songs in the South industry makes netizens angry; they say, "Not gonna watch any of her films"

Rashmika Mandanna has grabbed everyone’s attention on social media because of her recent statement on South songs. Netizens are not happy with the actress’ statement and they are criticizing her.

MUMBAI :Rashmika Mandanna is one of the biggest names down South. She has done super hit films in multiple South languages like Kirik Party (Kannada), Geetha Govindam (Telugu), Pushpa: The Rise (Telugu), and others. Now, Rashmika is slowly trying to make a mark in Bollywood. This year, she made her debut with Goodbye which failed to make a mark at the box office, and her next Hindi release will be Mission Majnu.

Mission Majnu, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role, is slated to premiere on Netflix on 20th January 2023. A couple of days ago, a romantic song from the film titled Rabba Janda was launched at an event in Mumbai.

While talking about the song Rashmika said, “Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up romantic songs meant Bollywood romantic songs. In the South, we have all massy, masala, item numbers, and dance numbers. So, this is my first Bollywood romantic song and I am so excited because it’s so good.”

Now, this statement of Rashmika has not gone down well with a few netizens, especially the ones who watch South movies. The actress is being criticized for it. Apart from Mission Majnu, Rashmika has Varisu (Tamil), Animal (Hindi), and Pushpa 2 (Telugu) lined up. Varisu, which is slated to hit the big screens on 12th January 2023, will also be released in Hindi, and of course, everyone is eagerly waiting for Pushpa 2.
