MUMBAI : Sony Sab’s 'Dhruv Tara' is a romantic drama that revolves around Dhruv and Tara, who are from two different eras. Tara, a princess from the 17th century, travels through time and arrives in the present day, where she meets Dhruv.
At the onset, the show unveils 17th century Princess Tarapriya (played by Riya Sharma) who is a secret Vaidya, her brother Prince Mahaveer (Krishna Bharadwaj), and their father, King Udaybhaan (Yash Tonk). Meanwhile, in the present day, Dhruv (played by Ishaan Dhawan) is seen in Agra near the Taj Mahal when an unidentified dupatta from the 17th century lands on him. The week also showcases how Tara’s mother Rani Kanupriya (played by Narayani Shashtri) advises Tara to travel into the 21st century to find a cure for her brother’s illness.

Previously, Tara informs Maharaja and Maharani that she has brought the right doctor for Mahaveer. When she is asked about his whereabouts, Tara gets shocked as Dhruv goes missing.
However, Tara and Dhruv finally find each other and Dhruv excitedly hugs Tara which Samrat notices. Samrat instructs his sainiks to arrest him.
Later, Samrat instructs Dhruv to treat an injured soldier to prove that he is a real doctor but later Dhruv fails to treat the soldier, and on Samrat's suggestion, Dhruv gets punished.
While Dhruv is on the verge of getting punished by Samrat, an arrow hits Tara, and she falls unconscious. Tara gets severely injured, and Maharani requests Dhruv to save her life. Dhruv starts treating Tara and gives her some medicine.
Interestingly, Dhruv confesses his feelings for Tara to an unconscious Mahaveer. Later, Tara comes to meet Dhruv late in the night and he asks her why she is visiting him even though she is not allowed to.
Later, Senapati in pretence of thanking Dhruv takes him out of the palace. Tara is very worried as she does not trust Senapati.
Interestingly, Dhruv tells the royal court that Tara should be allowed to train as a doctor. When Uday Bhaan says that women are not doctors, Dhruv defends Tara and praises her skills. Later, Tara disguises herself and comes to the Raj Mahal as an assistant at Dhruv’s request. As Senapati stares at Hunar Ali, Dhruv questions him about it. Senapati reveals in front of Maharaj that Hunar Ali is a woman.
Therefore, Maharaj announces that a vote will decide if Tara can become Dhruv's assistant in the surgery.
To everyone's shock, all idols disappear from everywhere in the palace. The Maharaja announces that he made a big mistake by straying away from tradition.
Now, voting starts for whether Tara should become a doctor or not. Senapati is furious and plans to make sure that Tara looses.
