MUMBAI: Aaliya Siddiqui rose to fame with her small stint in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, where she was a contestant.
She entered the show with the hashtag #breakingnews which meant her divorce from her ex–husband Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
She had hit the headlines for her divorce as she came out to speak about what she faced in the marriage and the reason for the divorce.
Unfortunately, her stay in the Bigg Boss house was for a short time and she was eliminated in a mid–week eviction.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Aaliya and asked her why she and Pooja Bhatt never got along and if she regrets not nominating Bebika during the nomination round.
Why did you agree to be a part of the reality show “Bigg Boss”
I did Bigg Boss because my marriage was breaking and I didn’t have an option. I had to start my career since I have to live a life alone, not depending on anyone. Hence, I took up the offer as I need to go a long way in life.
Do you think you started to play the game late as you started to put forth your opinions a bit later?
No, I don’t think. I started to play the game late as the response from the audience have been overwhelming. I think something better is written in my destiny. Hence, I have taken this decision positively and I wanted to go out with dignity. Some things have come out in the house, which was very painful. Something so personal like my pad was being discussed publicly. I felt humiliated.
What was the reason that you and Pooja Bhatt never got along in the show?
I never fought with Pooja. She was the one who started to speak behind my back. I just told her that she was supporting the wrong and she stretched the matter. It’s just that we didn’t get along with each other.
Do you regret not nominating Bebika when the nomination round was happening?
Yes, it was my biggest mistake and stupidly. But, this was written in Destiny and hence, I didn’t nominate her.
Aaliya was evicted by the audience very soon. She was known for her fights and disagreements with Pooja Bhatt.
