Shocking! Malayalam actor-model Shiyas Kareem arrested at Chennai airport on sexual assault and cheating charges

MUMBAI: Popular Malayalam actor-model Shiyas Kareem was arrested on Thursday from the Chennai airport after landing from his trip to the Middle East. A 32 year old gym trainer who worked in a gym owned by the actor, filed a police complaint against him for rape and cheating at the Chandera Police station at Kasargod.

In her complaint, the trainer also said that Shiyas owed her money and also promised to make her his business partner but he failed to honor her word. The complainant accused Shiyas of borrowing Rs 11 lakhs from her in multiple installments.

Kareem had previously reacted to the woman’s allegations as ‘fabricated’. The Chandera Police station officials will reach the Chennai airport to follow the procedures as per the complaint.
