MUMBAI:Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya is all set to take a leap of 20 years. The show stars Krishna Kaul and Mugdha Chapekar in the leading roles.
Apparently, the entire cast will move out of the show and make way for the next generation. However, the audience assumes that Krishna and Mugdha will be a part of the show and just like the first generation featured Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia introducing the characters and slowing making way for the second generation, the same suit will be followed.
Manoj Thakkar shares, “Kumkum Bhagya is one of the longest running shows and I could not imagine the show without Sriti and Shabir. But gradually Ranbir and Prachi made their way into our hearts. I think the show will take the same route instead of introducing the third generation without them.”
Mansi Vyas says, “It would be like a risk being taken by introducing the characters without having some previous characters. People love Prachi and Ranbir and have accepted them. Them taking the story forward and gradually making way will help the show maintain the TRP’s.”
Bhumika Shah avers, “I absolutely love the way Prachi and Ranbir are shown and the story is perfect. I wish they do not get into the leap but I am excited to see what happens after 20 years.”
Vasu Iyer elaborates, “I think Krishna and Mugdha will be seen atleast for a while to make way for the new cast. When this was done in season one of the show, the strategy worked quite well.”
Naina Mehta mentions, “I have always loved Kumkum Bhagya for its story telling and big twists and turns that it introduced in their dramas. It would be good to see Prachi and Ranbir carry forward the show in the third installment as well.”
