The series features some great actors and the audience has poured out a lot of love on the show.

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Dibyendu Bhattacharya talked about the audience's reaction, what made him say ‘Yes’ to the show and much more.

What do you have to say about the audience's reaction to the series?

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that the response has been overwhelming for the series and he feels blessed and lucky that people have appreciated his work a lot. He added that the character was the first one from the rescue mission to save the people and he felt happy knowing how strong of a mark his character has left on the audience’s minds.

What made you say yes to the show?

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that he knew what had happened in Bhopal so when the story was narrated, he thought that this would have a reach like Indian Chornobyl. He loved the concept and it is on the account of the careers of the survivors so it is very emotional. He added that it is not a documentary type of series. It is a work of fiction but the emotions that came out of it were very important. He added that he was well aware that his role was going to be a cameo but the gravitas of it, the layer of it was such that even as an actor you feel like you’re a part of history.

How was your experience with the cast?

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that he has a solo track, and even though he interacted with the actor, there was no scene in the series where he communicated with any character. He added that the real story starts after his character’s death.
