MUMBAI: YouTuber Elvish Yadav gained immense fame after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2. He entered the Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant, and by being the first wild card contestant to win the competition, he created television history. The YouTuber has won 25 lakhs and took the trophy home. He had grabbed headlines for his friendship with Abhishek Malhan, Manisha Rani, Ashika Bhatia and Jiya Shankar.
Elvish is now in the news once again as he has revealed in a recent podcast that he had got an extortion message for Rs 1cr and the man threatened to take his life if he refused to pay up. While some of his friends suggested he ignore the message one friend sent him an expletive filled voice note.
The accused then asked for his friend’s father's contact number as he had a “discount” for him and revealed that he wanted to buy a car - Ford Endeavor and thus reduced the extortion price to Rs 40-50 lakhs. Elvish who was then in London returned to India and filed an official police complaint.
Elvish said, “The police, they caught the guy in six hours from Gujarat. He was an RTO agent who got my phone number from my car’s registration”
