MUMBAI : Rajan Shahi is among the most well-known producers in the TV industry. Week after week, Rajan Shahi's shows from Anupamaa to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have dominated the TRP numbers. However, in addition to his shows, the well-known producer is renowned for being a "no-nonsense" person.
Recently the star producer opened up about having certain issues with actress Hina Khan who was the previous lead of his show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Just recently there was news that actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were fired from the show. Shahi revealed, “One day, the shoot was going on and Hina didn’t want to say some lines that were in support of Shivangi Joshi’s character Naira. There was a certain level of script interference where Hina refused to say those lines. That day I told her she would have to do the scene as it was, when she didn’t agree I told her to either shoot or leave the set.”
Shahi revealed that on that day Hina spent the entire day in her makeup room and when she left the set she got a message saying that her services were terminated.
However, the next day she came and shot for her scenes. Shahi scrapped the 6 scenes she shot with Shivani Joshi.
Rajan Shahi rebooted the entire style of functioning of the show post Hina’s departure which eventually raised the TRPs of the show.

Hina has been part of reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss and was recently seen as Kamolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.
