Crew
The female-led heist comedy film had Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. The film which was released in March made an earning of Rs 148 crore globally, reportedly. Talking about the success of the film, Kareena had told in an interview with PTI, "It’s not about whether it’s a hero or a heroine taking on a film. It’s a person and (their) performance that takes the film and content (forward). We are going to keep trying to do that. I will always choose roles that are interesting but in the form of entertainment. I’m happy Crew has broken barriers. It started the conversation that women also can break box office rules".
Laapata Ladies
Kiran Rao's finest film of the year has also made its OTT debut on Netflix. The film was made on a small-scale budget and was a sleeper hit as globally it made Rs 21.65 crore.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya
The romantic comedy starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon was released during Valentine's week. Reportedly, the film's worldwide gross collection minted Rs 132.78 crore, due to word-of-mouth publicity.
Madgaon Express
Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut reportedly will cross the Rs 40 crore mark in its lifetime. The comedy-film stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi and Avinash Tiwary in pivotal roles.
Hanuman
Prasanth Varma's superhero movie had Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer and Vinay Rai made Rs 50.76 crore in Hindi, according to a report by Trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
