If Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar's Alamzeb could write one honest letter to Tajdar

If Alamzeb had one last opportunity, to write a letter to Tajdar, what would it be? Read below to know about the same.
Sharmin Sehgal

MUMBAI : Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar became a central focal point of discussion because of the love story between Sharmin Segal and Taha Shah Badussha. Their complicated love story had an ending which Heeramandi fans did not approve of. While the show showed the complicated lives of the courtesans of Lahore, it was the teary-eyed romance between Sharmin and Taha that tore our hearts to pieces. In the web series, Taha's character dies but what if Alamzeb had written one last letter to Tajdar expressing her thanks to him? She loved poetry and found freedom in it and Tajdar was the one who supported her and made her break free from the clutches of Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala's) dreams of making her daughter a courtesan. Alam could have also written about how she had forgiven Tajdar, who did not respect her when the innocent Alam was made a pawn and had to go to jail.

Well, it is interesting to note that Alam aka Sharmin even in reality was slammed for essaying her character in an expressionless manner. During an interview with the BBC Asian Network podcast she said, "I do want to do what I want to do and I would love for everyone to love Alamzeb. But, at the end of the day, there will be people who have to say what they have to say". Taha had also supported by saying, "As far as Sharmin and her performance are concerned, she was always trying to do her best and was always present on sets. How it comes to the audience is a different game altogether, and I can’t comment on it".
