Turbo actor Mammootty reacts on Malayalam Film Industry’s success and other industry’s failure, ‘The probable reason could be other industries’ inability...’

Malayalam superstar Mammootty recently reacted to Mollywood’s winning streak and struggles faced by other industries such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and many more.

MUMBAI: Malayalam superstar, Mammootty who is all set for his upcoming action comedy movie, Turbo states that the success enjoyed by the Malayalam film industry is due to the audience who support good films. Speaking to the media while promoting ‘Turbo’ the legendary actor believes that the taste and preferences of audiences play an important role in determining the content and quality of movies.

He remarked that the consistent reviews considered for well-made films sends a strong message to filmmakers and forces them to evolve their craft. Further he states that recently, Mollywood is flourishing because Malayali audiences appreciate and encourage qualitative films by watching them.

According to him, in comparison, other language film industries like Hindi, Tamil and Telugu seem to be struggling. The megastar shared his opinion and said that the probable reason could be other industries’ inability to align themselves to shifting audience preferences.

The actor said that the audience has infinite power over cinema and it can progress only if they express their likes and dislikes transparently. His opinion comes at the time when the Malayalam industry is delivering one critical and commercial hit after another, captivating audiences nationwide with unique, impactful and exciting stories.

Vysakh Film ‘Turbo’ is an action comedy film which was written by Midhun Manuel Thomas. Along with Mammootty, the star cast includes many talented actors like Raj B. Shetty, Sunil, Anjana Jayaprakash and Kabir Duhan Singh. The movie is expected to hit the silver screen on May 23.
