MUMBAI: Actor Namish Taneja, who was last seen in the TV show Mishri, recently worked in a vertical series titled Gambler. The actor revealed that he was initially hesitant to take up the project because vertical platforms are still relatively new. However, the strong role and compelling storyline convinced him to experiment with this new format.
When contacted, Namish said, "I was approached for a few projects on vertical TV, but either the roles or the scripts didn’t appeal to me. However, when the producer narrated the story of Gambler, I felt I should give this new streaming format a try."

Talking about his role, Namish shared, "I play the character of Peter, who is both talented and emotional. He is extremely sharp and has the ability to read other people's minds."
He further added, "Peter doesn’t gamble to earn money, but for a different motive. His father was murdered, and he is on a quest to find those responsible. He became a gambler not just to earn money, but to use his skills to track down his father’s killers."
