MUMBAI: Since a while now the audience has been in love with Munjya and the trailer received a lot of love wherein Sharvari came as a surprise package for everyone. The audience has been really excited especially after the makers released the first song ‘Taras’ which is Sharvari’s first item song and we must, it’s worth all the hype.

The movie is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and the movie is an upcoming horror-comedy starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and Sathyaraj. The story of the movie is based on an Indian folklore and there is a belief that Munjya exists even in real life and can be found in rural parts of the country. However, many consider it a myth. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on 7th June.

During an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Sharvari was asked about her YRF heroine status and if the YRF tag still has the same effect. The Munjya actress had an interesting response to this.

Sharvari said, “Honestly I don’t think I ever viewed it as a tag because at the end of the day YRF is a very big banner in the Hindi film industry. They have been making films much longer than production houses have just started coming up but it is a legacy and it will always stay a legacy just like a Dharma and I feel like yes just because of the legacy they have very big names attached to them and I was so grateful to have that kind of launch. What it does is because main iss industry se nahi hoon, meri family iss industry se nahi hai, toh jab ek actor itne saalo tak auditions dete rehta hai aur chahta hai ke unh eek kaam mil jaye aur aapko ek itna bada banner mil jata hai jiske baad log aapko jaan’na aur pehchanna shuru kar dete hai, bas kyu ki aapko ek bada banner mila hai. I think ye waise actor ke liye, mere jaise actor ke liye bohot badi baat thi kyu ki log mujhe iske pehle jaante nahi the. Industry mein bhi koi mujhe jaanta nahi the. To iss legacy ne mujhe bohot help kiya hai aur aaj bhi karta hai.”
