Suniel, also known as Anna, recently made a lengthy appearance on comedian Bharti Singh's podcast where he discussed his life. Suniel revealed to them during their talk that he dated Mana for nine years prior to being married. He claimed that his mother had first objected to the actor's friendship with her. Later on though, when Suniel insisted on marrying no one else, she gave in.

Suniel said, “Mana and I had been seeing each other for nine years before marriage, and whenever my mom brought up the topic of marriage, I would tell her, ‘You know I am seeing someone. If I marry someone else, I will ruin the lives of two girls. So it is better that I don’t marry. I won’t go against you, but I also won’t marry.”

Speaking fondly of Mana, Suniel said that his wife has been very patient when they first started dating and still remains patient to this day.

Suniel said, “I fell in love with her the minute I saw her. But I used to be called the gunda because I used to have a bike, long hair and that physique and women around me all the time, friends, but you know how it is… and what the impression is when it goes out. I used to meet Mana at four o’clock in the morning on Christmas and New Year but she didn’t once complain. The minute we met, you know, everything about her seemed so caring and so loving. One year, two years, three years, four years and nine years and my parents kept saying no. Her parents loved me from day one, we got along. Her mom and me were a riot together.”
