MUMBAI: In the entertainment industry, Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan have gone far. Together, the two have produced successful films on multiple occasions. Their first collaboration was on the film Lakshya back in 2004. In 2009, they collaborated on Zoya Akhtar's film Luck By Chance. Later, in 2011, they acted in the popular Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara, which further solidified their relationship. As Lakshya enters a 20th-anniversary run in cinemas, Farhan talked candidly about his collaboration with Hrithik Roshan.

When questioned if Farhan and Hrithik will work together once again, Farhan revealed, ”100%. I mean, we meet so often, we talk about this all the time, but it is important… see there is an enthusiasm to work together, there is an excitement to work together, but it is also important that the film, the story be the right one. We all keep each other in check.”
He further added, “We’ll find the right one. So the intention is 100% there to collaborate on something, and I am very hopeful that within a year or two years, hopefully that, we’ll find something we can do.”
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara revolved around three friends on a road trip and performing daring activities picked by each friend. This included participating in the Tomatina festival, skydiving, scuba diving, and taking part in the running of the bulls. The film was a massive hit.
Farhan also shared an update on ZNMD 2 and added, “We all want the sequel to happen as it’s a loved film. We are often asked about part two of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara as the audiences have owned the film. We all hope that Zoya will come up with something for the sequel. It’s her brainchild, so we hope.”
More than ten years after the movie's release, Farhan appears in another travel movie with three main stars. In 2021, Farhan announced that he will be directing his first feature film, Jee Le Zaraa, starring Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra. There has been a hint on the movie poster that it is another road trip movie. The details of the filming are still unknown.
Aside from this, Farhan recently announced Don 3, which stars Kiara Advani and Ranveer Singh.
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan most recently starred alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the film Fighter. The actor's upcoming roles alongside Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR in the film War 2. The movie is directed by Siddharth Anand, and is anticipated for release on August 14, 2025.
