MUMBAI: Kill expands globally. The violent Indian action film is set to be recreated in Hollywood by 87Eleven Entertainment, the production group behind the John Wick series starring Keanu Reeves.

Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has written and directed the film Kill, which stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala. Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain's Sikhya Entertainment and Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta's Dharma Productions are supporting the movie. The movie will be available in the US on July 4th thanks to Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate. July 5 is when it opens in India.
Chad Stahelshi who has directed all four John Wick films said, “Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I’ve seen recently.” HE further said, “It’s exciting to be developing an English-language version—we have big shoes to fill and I’m looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve that.”
Thrilled to work on the remake, Adam Fogelson, chair, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group said in a joint statement, “Partnering with Lionsgate, the award-winning studio behind genre-defining action movies, has been incredibly gratifying. This announcement coming before the original film’s release is unprecedented and a big win for Indian cinema. We are truly honoured.”
Prior to this, Lakshya was scheduled to make her film debut in Dostana 2, which also starred Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. The film was shelved after a month of filming. Then, he was supposed to appear in Shashank Khaitan's helmed Bedhadak, Shanaya Kapoor's feature debut, which was also postponed.
