It is usually known to audience how there are Hindi movies inspired by or adapted from English or Korean movies but here we bring you a list of some International movies which were inspired by or adapted by Hindi movies.
Kill

MUMBAI: Indian actor Lakshya has made a dhamakedaar debut with the latest movie Kill which is an action-packed movie directed by Nikhil Bhat. Along with Lakshya, the movie features Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala, Adrija Sinha, Abhishek Chauhan, Harsh Chhaya and Ashish Vidyarthi. The movie will be released on 5th July and has already been receiving a lot of praises from critics.

The movie, due to its brutal violence, is being compared to many English movies and now, according to reports, Lionsgate has announced that 87Eleven Entertainment, creators of John Wick will produce English-language remake of the film.

However, this isn’t the first time it has happened. It is usually known to audience how there are Hindi movies inspired by or adapted from English or Korean movies but here we bring you a list of some International movies which were inspired by or adapted by Hindi movies. Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam became a movie that enlightened the audience to think with a higher perception. While the actors made their mark with this movie, it is noteworthy that the English movie ‘The Delivery Man’ was inspired by this Hindi movie. The 2013 English movie was directed by Ken Scott and starred Vince Vaughn, Chris Pratt, Derrick Arthur, Britt Robertson and Cobie Smulders.

A Wednesday

No one can forget the 7/11 attack in Mumbai and when director Neeraj Pandey gave us ‘A Wednesday’ which hit the chords right. Be it Jimmy Shergill, Naseeruddin Shah or Anupam Kher, everyone in the cast gave their best. Not many people know that there is a Sri Lankan adaptation of the movie titled ‘A Common Man’ which released in 2013. The movie starred Ben Kingsley, Ben Cross, Patrick Rutnam, Numaya Siriwardena and Mohamed Adamaly.

Sangam

The 1964 movie Sangam, produced and edited by Raj Kapoor at R. K. Studios was an Indian musical romantic movie starring Raj Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar, Vyjanthimala, Lalita Pawar, and Achala Sachdev. The movie is known to be one of the Hindi classics and even its English adaptation ‘Pearl Harbor’ is greatly loved in the west. The English adaptation stars Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Jennifer Garner and Alec Baldwin.

Jab We Met

Imtiaz Ali’s 2007 directorial starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan is till now one of the most memorable rom-com movies. In 2010, ‘Leap Year’ was inspired by ‘Jab We Met’. The English movie starred Amy Adams, Matthew Goode, Adam Scott, John Lithgow, Kaitlin Olson and many more.

Rangeela

Everybody enjoys watching this Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff and Urmila Matondkar starrer which released in 1995 but did you know that the 2004 English movie ‘Win a Date With Tad Hamilton’ was inspired by ‘Rangeela’?

Now with a lot of Hindi movies being adapted into English or other languages, here’s the last one which could not turn out into a movie as someone got their hands on the original script.

That’s right! Satyajit Ray is loved and idolized for his film-making methods and even his movies. Here’s something that a lot of people do not know is that the famous English movie E.T. was actually Satyajit Ray’s script originally.
