Karan Johar reveals he is suffering from body dysmorphia; says, ‘I self-body shame’

Recently in an interview, Karan discussed his body image problems and how, at last, he understood that he wanted to work in the film business. He added that he had been self-conscious about his appearance when he was younger.

Karan revealed, “I have body dysmorphia, I am very awkward getting into a pool.”

He continued by saying that despite his best efforts, he is still unsure of how to get past it without being weak.

The director of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani revealed that this is also the cause of his frequent appearance in big clothing. He always believes that he is obese, regardless of how much weight he sheds or how hard he tries. He therefore wants no one to be able to see any portion of his body.

Karan said, “I self-body shame myself all the time” He added, “All these issues, all fester and create mental health issues”

He has therefore been receiving therapy and medicines ever since. As all is going on, Karan is getting ready for the release of Bad Newz, his upcoming production that stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk.
