MUMBAI: Supriya Kumari is a well known actress of television and she has a good fan following.
She is known for her role in Indian television series Bairi Piya, Looteri Dulhan, Anudamini and Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki.
She was also seen in the movie Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami.
These days she is ruling the television screen with her performance in the serial Tose Naina Milai Ke where she essay the role of Kuhu.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Supriya and asked what are the challenges she faced in the recent time while shooting for the show and does she still feel insured.
How many characters are you playing in the show?
It was very challenging to drive the bus as it was a huge one as it's not easy but then I took up the challenge.
As an actor are you insecure about the channel and the brand you are working for?
Since day one I haven't had such a thought. In the end I have understood that a good role and good story is what matters. I am only looking for good roles and I can play any character. Currently Dangal is a huge channel and I feel lucky that I am working on the channel. For an actor channel and banner it doesn't matter what matters is the character and role as that will make you a household name and even in films even small films become hits though there is no big banner behind it, because the story and character is that strong and it reaches the audience's heart.
Which is your favourite character?
Amoli from the show Bari Priya, the show that I did for Balaji Telefilms and that character is very close to me and obviously Kuhu and when I wake up I feel like doing the scene in a different way and that's an achievement.
Well, there is no doubt that the fans love to see Supriya performing Kuhu in the show and she has become a household name today.
