MUMBAI : It's Himesh Reshammiya's birthday today. His father, composer Vipin Reshammiya, was happy when he pursued music as a career. He was born in Mumbai on July 23, 1973. He performs as an actor, producer, lyricist, composer, and vocalist. Nearly 1,500 tracks are ascribed to Himesh Reshammiya.

He began his career producing TV shows before moving on to write music for motion pictures. With Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya (1998), Salman Khan handed him a huge break, and he hasn't looked back since.

Tumse Milna (Tere Naam)
Starring Salman Khan and Bhoomika Chawla, Tere Naam was a blockbuster of its time with blockbuster music of course. Composed by Himesh, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan sang the song and its lyrics were given by Sameer.
