In the Semi-Finale of Superstar Singer 3, Legendary Composer Viju Shah hugs contest Atharv Bakshi after his stellar performance.

MUMBAI: This weekend, Sony Entertainment Television's homegrown children’s reality show, 'Superstar Singer 3', enters the semi-finale week! The talented young contestants are all set to impress the audience with their singing prowess as they inch one step closer to winning the coveted title of ‘Superstar Singer 3’. Making this semi-finale even more special will be the presence of the legendary composer Viju Shah, son of Kalyanji Virji Shah, who will be gracing the show this Saturday to motivate the little dynamites in the  ‘Kalyan ji – Anand ji Special’.

And once again, a performance that will leave everyone awed will be Jharkhand’s little wonder, Atharv Bakshi’s performance of the songs ‘Akele Hain Chale Aao’ and ‘Srivalli’. On hearing his mesmerizing voice, Viju Shah couldn’t contain his excitement and went on stage to hug Atharv Bakshi, showing his appreciation for the performance. 

Complimenting Atharv, Viju Shah shared, “Atharv, I want to give you a tight hug, you sang so beautifully. Watching you perform reminded me of a young Javed Ali, the original singer of Srivalli; when he was of your age he used to come to my father to learn music. ”

Super Judge Neha Kakkar praised Atharv saying, "To sing both  Akele Hum Chale Aao and Srivalli live is very difficult and only a big singer can do something like this; what you did today is truly commendable. Atharv’s dedication is always seen in his performance. One can easily see that he has observed Javed Ali’s style so well and tried to incorporate Javed Ji’s singing style in this song. He did justice to it. He sang from his heart and I could see a different personality in Atharv today. When I first saw Atharv's journey, he was such a delicate and small child who was attempting such difficult songs so well; each performance given by him was unbelievable. I had goosebumps from head to toe week after week when I saw him perform; his is surely one of the best journeys I feel a contestant has had. ”
