Sushmita Sen became the first Indian winner of Miss Universe beauty competition which was held in May 1994. While playing variety of characters in life, there’s this one character that she played in Taali that has made a special place in the audience’s heart. Taali is an OTT series based on the real life story of Shreegauri Sawant, a renowned transgender activist from Mumbai. The character of Shreegauri Sawant was played by Sushmita Sen, who totally nailed it by her performance.
In fact, the actress won the ‘Best Actress (series)’ award at the Indian Telly Streaming Awards 2024 for her performance. She thanks her team and the cast and crew for support and expressed gratitude.
