MUMBAI : Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt have always had a close relationship. In addition to producing the 2022 dark comedy Darlings together, they collaborated on the 2016 film Dear Zindagi. Let's relive a memorable moment from the latter, which just marked two years since its release, when Alia shared what King Khan texted her following the viewing of Darlings.

During the launch of the film in 2022, Alia reveal SRK sent her a cute message saying, “Recently, he saw the film, and he messaged me, and he said in typical Darlings lingo, ‘Thanks you Darlings for doing this movies.”
Alia also discussed how she decided to produce the movie during the event. She revealed that the script was approached by producer Gaurav Verma and director Jasmeet K Reen in 2019. During the narrative, Alia recalled how the plot "shifted gear," leaving her "surprised." The actor from Gangubai Kathiawadi said that she felt compelled to produce Darlings at that point. For those who don't know, it was Alia's first time producing.
Alia further said, “Then Shah Rukh called me; he said, 'Main usually co-produce nahi karta par main tere saath karunga aur bahut maze karenge (I don't usually co-produce, but I will do it with you and we will have a lot of fun). It will be quite good, and it will be one for the memories.”
Future projects starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt are sure to be entertaining. Jigra, the action thriller that Alia and Karan Johar are co-producing, is about to hit theaters. She is also hard at work on the filming of Alpha, a YRF Spy Universe production. In the meantime, SRK and his daughter Suhana Khan will work together on Sujoy Ghosh's film King.
