Nagarjuna reveals that his son Naga Chaitanya was 'depressed' after his separation from Samantha; ‘It has not been an easy time for Chay or the family’

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu dated for four years before getting married in 2017. However, the couple announced their split public in 2021. MUMBAI : Veteran actor Nagarjuna revealed that following his son actor Naga Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu never had an easy time. Before divorcing in 2021, Naga Chaitaya and Samantha were wed for four years. Right now, he and Sobhita Dhulipala are engaged.

In an interview, Nagarjuna shared his joy about his son Chay's engagement to the well-known news website. “Chay has found happiness again. He is very happy. So am I,” he told the portal.

He added, “It has not been an easy time for Chay or the family. The separation from Samantha) left him very depressed. My boy doesn't show his feelings to anyone. But I knew he was unhappy. To see him smile again... Sobhita and Chay make a wonderful couple. They love each other dearly.”

On August 8, 2024, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala announced their engagement. Nagarjuna stated in the same interview that because the day was so fortunate, it was a "hurried engagement." The wedding has not yet been planned.

Taking to X, Nagarjuna Akkineni dropped two pictures from Chaitanya and Sobhita's intimate engagement ceremony and penned a beautiful note along with it. The loving father shared the details of the duo's engagement, which took place at 9:42 am and also welcomed Sobhita into their family.

He wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness and wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!!
