MUMBAI : On Saturday, August 10, the veteran Marathi actor Vijay Kadam passed away from cancer. He was sixty-seven years old. At home, the actor took his final breath. It is said that his funeral ceremonies will be held in Mumbai.
Kadam bravely battled cancer for the last ninety days, but even though he first beat the disease, his health deteriorated as the cancer returned. He was allegedly receiving care at a private hospital in Mumbai's Andheri district.
Marathi actor Ajinkya Deo took to his X account to inform fans about Vijay Kadam’s demise writing, “Sad to inform the demise of a very fine actor a dear friend Vijay Kadam May his soul rest in peace”

Celebrated for his contributions to the Marathi film and television industry, Kadam was a well-known Marathi actor. He had a successful career spanning many decades and was well-known for his adaptable acting abilities, which allowed him to play a variety of parts, from comic to serious.
He became well-known for his performances in a number of Marathi theater plays as well.
Kadam has been part of projects like Aanandi Aanand (1987), Tere Mere Sapne (1996), Dekhni Bayko Namyachi (2001), Revati (2005), Topi Ghala Re (2010), Bluffmaster (2012), Bhet Tuji Maji (2013) and Monkey Baat (2018).
