MUMBAI: Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya, who met two years before, decided to take their relationship to the next level on August 8, 2024, a day of enormous significance. They got engaged on this auspicious day, welcoming in a new chapter in their lives.
Their smiles and the brightness in their eyes gave off an irresistible happiness. For those who don't know, Naga Chaitanya was formerly married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. However, following four years of blissful marriage, their love story took a new turn.
Photographers first saw Sobhita Dhulipala on August 19, 2024, following her engagement to Naga Chaitanya. The diva looked amazing for the evening in a bright denim jumpsuit with tie-up details at the waist and a blue tone.
She added a watch, diamond earrings, and an opulent diamond engagement ring to complete the look. Her sparkling smile and free curls enhanced her young and attractive appeal.
Sobhita happily showed off her engagement ring while smiling at the photographers. The ring, the symbol of their love, was a work of art; it had a round solitaire diamond set in a smooth band.
Nagarjuna Akkineni shared two photos from Chaitanya and Sobhita's private engagement ceremony on X along with a heartfelt message. The loving father welcomed Sobhita into their family and gave details of the couple's engagement, which happened at 9:42 am.
He wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness and wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."
Sobhita stated that she wanted to honour her cultural roots with her engagement. She teamed with famous designer Manish Malhotra to execute this idea. This cultural bond was demonstrated by the fabric of her engagement saree, which came from Andhra Pradesh's weaving villages. This traditional feature was beautifully portrayed by Sobhita's Uppada silk curtains, which were tinted the golden blush shade of a traditional temple blossom.
