Vidhu Vinod Chopra acknowledged that he was taken aback to learn that his daughter was ill. He contacted their family physician, who he claimed had a big influence in raising Isha. He was the one who identified bipolar disorder in Vidhu's daughter.
The filmmaker said, “Thanks to his guidance, I understood that it’s a condition like any other, and we needed to fight it together as a family.”
Speaking further on the state of his daughter Isha had a good guru in Pune, according to Vidhu Vinod Chopra. That's when he understood the true benefit of art. The individual becomes so engrossed in the art that the mind blocks out all other stimuli, he continued, and this is effective.
Chopra further stated, “My job was to take on her stress. That’s the first thing the caretaker or family should do. I hate to make this comparison, but since I am writing a fantasy, I have to say it: like the Sagar Manthan, the family has to take the poison out of the mind of the family member who is suffering, hold it, and bear with it.”
Regarding work, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's most recent film, 12th Fail, became a local sensation. The lead actors in the movie were Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr. The narrative was based on actual events between Shraddha Joshi and IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma.
