MUMBAI: Fans of Son Pari still cherish the lovely relationship that Fruity, the little child, had with Son Pari and Altu, even though the show aired more than 20 years ago. The three, Tanvi Hegde, Mrinal Kulkarni, and Ashok Lokhande, had never met before the event until they happened to run into each other recently.

An excited Tanvi said, “I was eight years old when I acted in Son Pari. While we have been in touch over the phone, this is the first time I have met them since the show ended in 2004.” She added, “I was overwhelmed… all the memories just came back as we spoke. I had gone to watch a Marathi play, which is directed by Mrinal aunty’s son. I didn’t know she would be there. To my surprise, even Ashok’s uncle was there. We didn’t plan the reunion, but we were thrilled to catch up.”

Recalling her Son Pari days, Tanvi said, “I literally grew up on the sets of the show and everyone from the cast and crew took care of me and made sure that I studied and ate well. My parents were working at that time and couldn’t accompany me to sets.”

She further said, “I took a break from acting to focus on my studies. Alipta was my last project. I haven’t been actively pursuing acting, but if something interesting comes my way, I will take it up.”
