Lorenzo di Bonaventura, producer for all eight Transformers films reveals Why the Franchise's Origin Story is Perfect for Animation

MUMBAI :  The highly successful Transformers franchise aims to build upon its existing legacy with its upcoming release, Transformers One. Directed by Josh Cooley, Transformers One takes fans back to the origins of Cybertron’s greatest warriors.  

Transformers One is the story where it all began and became a franchise that is loved globally! Lorenzo di Bonaventura, producer for all eight Transformers films, reveals how the origin story of the beloved autobots were in the works all along.

Opening up about the same, Lorenzo di Bonaventura said, “We always knew it wasn’t realistic to think it would be a live-action film. Animation gave us the ability to do things we have never been able to do, like create a whole new world that has never been seen before, but that somehow feels organic.”

Unlike the live-action Transformers movies, which depict the robots as battle-ready from birth, Transformers One presents a fresh narrative, revealing the character’s transformative journey. The film delves into the deep bond between Orion Pax and D-16, shedding light on the events that ultimately led to their epic clash. The film boasts an impressive voice cast led by Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Scarlett Johansson. The stellar cast also includes Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm, promising a thrilling new experience for Transformers fans. The film arrives in theaters on 20th September, 2024 in India, in English & Hindi, in 2D, 3D, 4D and IMAX (3D).
