MUMBAI : Rakul Preet Singh, a well-known figure in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, recently discussed her opinions on nepotism during an appearance on The Ranveer Show. Rakul has no prior experience in the industry but has made a name for herself in the industry thanks to her roles in De De Pyaar De, Runway 34, Doctor G, and Chhatriwali. The actress is currently getting ready to star with Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan in the film De De Pyaar De 2.

Rakul was open about her experiences, admitting that nepotism has cost her films throughout her career, but she doesn't want to focus on it. “Yes, this happens, and I have lost films, but I am not the kind of person jo bitter hoke beth jaayega [who will sit and sulk]. Maybe those films weren’t meant for me,” she explained. She believes that understanding the ebb and flow of opportunities in life is essential for growth.

Rakul shared that her upbringing has helped her develop a positive perspective. Recalling her father’s advice, she mentioned that his experience in the army taught her not to fixate on what’s beyond her control. “I had to go into the army; my dad would share his experience with me. Nepotism, I don’t think too much about it,” she added.

The actress from Doctor G used a novel comparison to back up her claim that missing out on opportunities is a natural part of life. “If a doctor is unable to join the board and someone else is sent there, it’s just the way life works,” she noted. Rakul refuses to let her anger get in the way of her path and personal development.

Rakul said that while she wouldn't force her kids to "stand in line and try their luck," she would still provide them with all the support she could when asked how she would handle the situation if she had kids. “If a star kid gets easy access, the credit goes to their parents who have worked hard for it,” she emphasised the value of family support in her statement.

Regarding her career, Rakul is getting ready for the next De De Pyaar De 2 schedule, which will include R Madhavan and Ajay Devgn and be filmed in Punjab.
