MUMBAI: Sony MAX is set to release Adbhut, a highly anticipated supernatural thriller premiering directly on TV on September 15. As the excitement builds, director Sabbir Khan reveals a chilling paranormal event that occurred during filming.
During the first 10–12 days of shooting, while filming an intense demonic scene, something eerie happened. The moment the word ‘action’ was called, the lights began to flicker uncontrollably—only to stop once the scene was cut. With every retake, the flickering persisted. What began as a shock quickly became a curious mystery, and the crew, despite the unnerving atmosphere, turned the situation into a shared joke. Each time the lights flickered, someone would shout "Adbhut," turning tension into laughter.
Reflecting on the strange occurrence, Sabbir Khan said, “It was spooky, no doubt. But the crew’s sense of humour, especially with how they embraced the word ‘Adbhut,’ turned a tense moment into one that brought us closer together. From that point on, we became a tight-knit team.”
The incident soon became a legend on set, deepening the intrigue around Adbhut—a film already steeped in the supernatural.
