MUMBAI: Shilpa Saklani Agnihotri is an Indian television actress. She is known for her role as Ganga Sahil Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Vidhi in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.

She was a contestant on the reality shows Nach Baliye 1 and Bigg Boss 7.

These days she is making headlines for her performance in Sony SAB’s “Shrimad Ramayan' where she is essaying the role of Kaikeyi in a completely different and unique way.

She is the first warrior queen, courageous and combative, an ideal wife, and a keen mother.

This particular approach highlights the depth and emotional complexities of her character, making her important to the narrative.

While playing this role, Shilpa has effectively depicted the sensitivities and struggles of Kaikeyi.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her how the environment was on the sets of the show and she revealed what twists and turns her character would bring in.

How is the environment on the sets, how is your experience working with the co-actors and team?

It's a really fun set to work on, even though it can be taxing since the language isn't native to any of us. The dialogues are challenging, and the language is tougher, making everything a bit more difficult. But despite that, the environment is enjoyable. Even in the most serious situations, we're all laughing and having a great time. The chemistry among the actors is fantastic—we all get along like a house on fire.

There are moments when we're in the middle of a shot, and we're all giggling, unable to hold back our laughter, to the point where the director has to remind us to focus. Thankfully, by God's grace, it is a very happy and fun set. We genuinely have a blast shooting because everyone gets along so well.

Tell us what kind of twists and turns would your character bring into the show? Or a gist of the upcoming track

The twists and turns that Kaikeyi was meant to bring have already played out. Whatever impact she had on the story has reached its conclusion. The entire Ramayan unfolded because of that pivotal action Queen Kaikai took, and now that part of the story is done and dusted.

As the story continues to unfold, I can't reveal where it's headed next, but from Kaikai's perspective, the chaos and drama she caused have come to an end. There's no more madness coming from her. So, for now, her role in driving the plot forward has concluded.

Well, the fans are super excited to see Shilpa in a new avatar on the show.
