Sonakshi Sinha feels her husband Zaheer Iqbal is a lot like her dad Shatrughan Sinha for THIS reason
MUMBAI: One of the cutest couples in the industry is the recentlywed duo of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. There were reports going around after their wedding that the Sinha family wasn't happy with their relationship. To correct the record, the Bollywood actress reveals how her parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, reacted when she told them she was going to marry her longtime partner, Zaheer Iqbal.
Sonakshi said, “My dad was very happy. He said, ‘Jab miyan biwi raazi toh kya karega kaazi (If the couple is ready to get married, then who can stop?)’ He had met Zaheer a few times before. He is very fond of him.”
She also shared, “Their birthdays are around the same time: My dad’s is on December 9 and Zaheer’s is on December 10, so they are very similar.”
Talking of her parents’ love marriage, Sonakshi said, “My mom knew him. She was the first one I confided to. They themselves had a love marriage and they know how it will go.”
In case you missed it, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had a romantic relationship for seven years without making it known to the public. When they finally announced their engagement, it stunned everyone. On June 23, the couple wed civilly in Mumbai, and many well-known figures from the film business attended the opulent event that followed. Speaking of work, Sonakshi enthralled viewers in Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her most recent role was in the comedy-horror Kakuda. She is currently enjoying her honeymoon phase and getting ready to begin filming for her next project.
