I Used to Look Up to Sridevi: Delnaaz Irani Talks About Fashion

1

MUMBAI : Actress Delnaaz Irani, who was last seen in Archies, shares her thoughts on fashion. “Fashion is about being comfortable, accepting your body type, and truly embracing who you are.” Talking about old fashion trends she'd like to see make a comeback, she says, “I want to see polka dots and those huge dog collars on shirts return.”

Interestingly, Delnaaz’s awareness of fashion started with her elder brother, who is a doctor. She explains, “I think I’ve always been comfortable in whatever I wore. Thanks to my elder brother, who was very fashion-conscious, I began to think more about my style. He’s very stylish and has an incredible knack for fashion. He was my inspiration. Being six years younger, I really looked up to him. As a child, of course, Mom and Dad took care of my clothes, but as a teenager, my brother Porus really inspired me and took an interest in helping me become more fashionable. He often took me shopping.”

Delnaaz also shares her fondness for colors in fashion. “I love bright colors. Thanks to my skin tone, even pastels suit me,” she adds. Besides her brother, one fashion icon Delnaaz has always admired is Sridevi. “She had an incredible fashion sense—everything she wore was stunning.”

So, what can we expect from Delnaaz’s wardrobe? She shares, “My wardrobe has a bit of everything—basics, party dresses, Indian and Western outfits. My go-to outfit would be a cotton, bright, printed or block-printed summer dress, perfect for lunch or brunch. I try to refresh my wardrobe almost every month to keep up with the latest fashion trends.”
