MUMBAI : Lately, it has become a trend to re-release movies in theatres. Recently, as a promotion activity, Singham was released as Singham Again’s release date is coming closer. Previously, we got to watch movies like Sarfarosh, Kuch Kuch Hota hai, Veer Zaara, Tumbbad, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Tujhe Meri Kasam, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Stree, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Rockstar and many many more.
Well, according to Bollywood Hungama, we might get to watch some more re-releases by next month.
Ramesh Taurani, the famous film producer, known for movies like Ishq Vishk, Race, and Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani to name a few, has completed 30 years in the industry. As a producer, he made his debut with Auzaar in 1997. The movie starred Salman Khan, Sanjay Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty.

When asked to Ramesh Taurani if he’d like to re-release Soldier (1998), since its lead star Bobby Deol is on a different high right now, the producer confirmed that the plan is in effect. He said, “We are going to re-release some of our films like Soldier, Kachche Dhaage (1999), Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1999), Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2008), Raaz (2002) etc. from next month (November).”
While the re-releases has been in the trend lately, sequences and remakes have been in the trend for while now and so he was questioned about plans for Soldier movie sequel, to which the producer replied saying, “The scripting is going on. We need to respect the Soldier brand and hence, we need a strong script for the sequel.”
