Actor Rohit Choudhary Talks About How He Bought His First Bike in College

MUMBAI : Actor Rohit Choudhary, who captured the hearts of audiences with his impressive performance in the film Gadar 2 and will next be seen in the film Vanvaas, which he has co-produced, recently shared a lesser-known story from his early days. Rohit took a nostalgic walk down memory lane, recalling a significant chapter from his college years when he successfully turned an ambitious business idea into reality—all in pursuit of his first bike, a Yamaha RX100.

Rohit shared how his college years were not only a time of study and personal growth but also a period marked by dreams and determination. One such dream was to own a bike, specifically a Yamaha RX100, a popular choice among young people at the time. But for Rohit, obtaining that dream required more than just a simple purchase; it was a process of planning, courage, and belief in his own potential. Lacking the funds for the bike, Rohit turned to his sister, borrowing ₹40,000 with a clear plan in mind: to use the money to buy fireworks at wholesale rates, sell them for a profit, and fund his dream.

"The idea just clicked," the actor explained. “I knew that Diwali was approaching, and it was the perfect time to sell fireworks. I was confident I could make a profit, and I was determined to make it happen.” Choudhary was methodical in his approach, leveraging the festival season’s high demand for fireworks to his advantage. His determination paid off when he was able to turn his ₹40,000 loan into a remarkable ₹78,000 by selling the fireworks.

True to his word, Choudhary returned the initial loan to his sister, honoring the trust she had placed in him. With the remaining ₹38,000, he finally purchased his dream bike—a Yamaha RX100, a symbol of his hard work and ambition. This was no ordinary bike for Choudhary; it represented his first major accomplishment and the sense of pride that comes with earning something through one’s own efforts.

“The night before I took it to college, I was so excited I couldn’t sleep,” he recalled fondly. Owning that bike was a personal milestone that extended far beyond the thrill of new wheels; it was a testament to his self-reliance, business savvy, and the value he placed on family support. To this day, Choudhary still owns the RX100, a tangible reminder of his roots and the journey he has undertaken to get where he is.

Reflecting on that moment, Choudhary said, “That bike taught me so much more than just enjoying a ride; it was my introduction to perseverance, self-confidence, and the satisfaction of working towards something you truly want. It’s a story I’ll always treasure.”
