The film has been receiving tremendous support from the government, with the Chief Ministers of states such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat declaring it tax-free in their respective states. This has positively impacted the film’s box office performance, as it witnessed a significant jump on its second Saturday which is bigger than its first, collecting ₹3.18 crore on Day 9. The film’s total collection now stands at ₹19.57 crore.

Having collected ₹3.18 crore on its second Saturday (Day 9), the film has shown good growth compared to its first Saturday. The film had collected 2.62 Cr. on its first Saturday and looking at its collection of second Saturday, the growth is phenomenal. While the films usually witness drop in it's second weekend, The Sabarmati Report is strengthening position. This is indeed a result of a positive word of mouth and the film's powerful narrative of revealing truth with facts that is attracting the audience to the theaters.
