MUMBAI: Manasvi Vashist, known for his roles in popular TV shows like Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 and Imlie, is currently seen in the Amazon MX Player series Campus Beats 4. His ability to bring unique depth to each character has made him a fan favorite, but it hasn't come without its challenges.
When asked about how he switches from one role to another, Vashist admits that it's not always easy. "It's like leaving a friend behind but knowing you'll make new ones," he says. Each role adds something new to his growth as an actor, and he carries that learning forward into the next character.
Despite working on multiple projects, Vashist manages to keep his performances fresh. "No matter how similar the roles might seem, the story, the emotions, and the challenges are always unique," he explains. This uniqueness, he says, is what keeps acting exciting and keeps him engaged in his work.
Preparation for a character is something Vashist takes seriously. He doesn't follow a fixed process for every role. "It depends on the character," he shares. "Some roles take weeks of preparation, while others require me to dive straight in." His approach often involves understanding the world of his character, observing people, and relying on his instincts to bring authenticity to his performance.
With fame comes public attention, and Vashist remains aware of the need to balance his professional and personal life. "At home, I’m just me, not the actor," he says. "My family and friends keep me grounded, and spending time with them reminds me of what truly matters."
For Vashist, staying connected to his roots is vital. "It keeps me real," he says, acknowledging that his roots are a constant reminder of where he comes from and who he is.
As Vashist continues to take on new challenges, it’s clear that his dedication to his craft and his commitment to staying grounded will continue to define his journey in the entertainment world.
